My Second Food Blog Income Report: July 2025

Welcome to EverythingTess’s second food blog income report for July 2025. If you’re new to income reports, this is where I outline if I met my monthly goals, future goals for the blog and most importantly, the income generated by the blog. This is a personal insight into the website and hopefully, provides some value to those reading.

Why Am I Sharing?

I am sharing this blog income report for a few reasons. One of those is to be transparent and show a realistic view of what a small, starting out blog can earn. It can be easy to get caught up in the razzle dazzle of “I made thirty thousand in a month” posts, but those blogs are also well established. I started blogging seriously in June of 2025 after years of on and off writing.

I thought it would be interesting to provide an insight of the steps I’m taking with a new blog. Another reason is simply because I enjoy reading others’ blogs income reports and maybe someone will enjoy reading mine. Lastly, I think it will be fun to see how the blog grows and changes over time.

Monthly Goals

The lingering question is…did I meet my goals for July? The answer: not at all. This month life got in the way. Between starting the summer beach goalty league, going back to the gym, and my vacation, I didn’t spend as much time on the website as I would have liked. I spent two weeks on a Chicago staycation with my 15-year-old little sister who came to town. I saved for two months for this staycation and got to do all the things that I’m normally too busy to do with my 9-5 job. For those interested: I discovered an amazing pizza by the slice restaurant in Chicago, went to the Rooftop Cinema Club and watched Mamma Mia for the first time, spent time at the arcade where my sister won 5 ducks from the crane machine, and overall had time to decompress from the stress of my day job.

To recap, this month’s monthly goals were:

  • My goal was to post 3-5 new posts (minimum of 3)
  • My goal is to start scheduling out pins to have at least one post per day for a full week.
  • Use Pinterest to keep 1,000 monthly pageviews minimum.

Did I post 3-5 new posts? Nope. I ended up only posting my First Food Blog Income Report. Apart from the time spent focused on actual living, I’ve been struggling with trying to find my voice in writing and the direction of this website. I have a lot of ideas that I’m keeping secret for now and hopefully, in the next few months, I will achieve those ideas.

Did I schedule out pins for a full week? Almost…I scheduled out pins for 5 days in a row. I spent a few hours in a coffee shop creating graphics and researching keywords. As well as worked on them before going to work and after work. I found that I burnt out quickly from this and will take a different approach going forward.

Did I keep 1,000 minimum monthly pageviews? Yes! This was actually my highest viewed month so far. I attribute the scheduling of pins for these consistent views. I actually noticed my pins were one of the first to pop up on Pinterest when I searched the keywords. Who knew SEO was my secret superpower?

July Pageviews and Income

This month I received 1,576 views.

Visitors: 1,019

Total number of posts published: 10 posts.

This is my highest amount of pageviews so far! Last month I received: 1,254 views and 559 visitors.

The number of visitors this month doubled with an additional ~300 views. I’m thrilled that the pageviews still increased despite the fact I didn’t publish as many posts as I initially intended.

For income, I have two ad networks:

WordAds: $0.16

Ezoic Ads: $2.95

Income for July 2025: $3.11

Even though this is only a couple of dollars, it is more than double what I made last month! I’m still on an upward trajectory with my blogging journey in terms of pageviews and income. I’m just getting started and this tiny return on investment excites me for the future!

However, the true income earned for this month is: $0.00! I can’t cash out until I meet minimum payment thresholds. So, there’s actually $0.00 hitting my bank account.

Next Month’s Goals

As much as I love to quantify goals, I tend to get hung up on the numbers. For August, I want to focus on the quality of my writing and have more fun with the process. After pushing my creative side away the past five years, this gives me my spark back! I love the writing, the process of coming up with budget friendly, healthy meals. I’m learning more about food photography as that’s my weak spot and I absolutely love the process of figuring out how to write SEO friendly descriptions for Pinterest.

Even if AI decides to wipe out the algorithm, I can at least say that I did this and had fun doing it! I see more and more people pinning my pins and viewing my website. My family said they tried one of the recipes and it turned out great! I am happy that there is some value in what I have to share.

However, I do need to quantify some goals for August:

  • Post at least 3 posts this month!
  • Schedule pins for at least a full week, even if it’s only 1 pin a day.
  • Keep 1,000 pageviews as a monthly minimum.
  • Fingers crossed, earn $5 dollars this month in ad revenue.
